The Golf Monthly Gear Vault team has got an exclusive look at this brand new driver from Callaway.
The fabled manufacturers boast that the Hyper X and Hyper X Tour have the largest effective hitting areas of all their titanium drivers to date.
Cleveland introduced the HiBore driver last year with its distinctive scooped-out crown, and this latest version promises even better performance thanks to a larger, even more forgiving, clubface and new side "stability fins" that hold sufficient weight to bump up the club's moment of inertia and therefore resistance to twisting on mis-hits.
In this week's Gear Vault instruction editor Neil Tappin joins online video blog equipment editor Jeremy Ellwood to see if the max dimension grooves in Cleveland's new CG12 wedges really do the job on bunker shots and chip shots around the greens. The latest CG12 models promise higher-than-ever levels of spin and greenside control. Is that what they deliver?
