In 1989, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois conducted an Ashtanga Yoag Workshop in Encinitas, CA. During this workshop he instructed his advanced students in the third and part of the fourth series. This DVD includes early footage of Guruji instructing many of todays top teachers such as Richard Freeman, Chuck Miller, Maty Ezraty, and Tim Miller, leading asanas of the advanced series.

David Life (Deva Das) is the co-creator of the style of yoga known as Jivamutki, and has taught it at the Jivamukti Yoga Center in New York City since 1984. His contribution to the practice of Yoga in the West is unique and has helped re-establish the universal truths and spirutual foundation for the practice of the asana.
